Bearcat Grad is Staff Member of the Month

Mary Ruffin Voted as Staff Member of the Month

Mary Ruffin has been voted as White Oak HIgh School's Staff Member of the Month for January of 2012.  Mrs. Ruffin is originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina and a graduate of Rock Hill High School the home of the "Bearcats".  She attended and graduated from Winthrop University (formerly Winthrop College) with a BS in Chemistry.  She spent 14 years working for the forestry company, MeadWestvaco in Summerville, SC where she was a supervisor in a research laboratory.  She is married to a retired Navy lieutenant and has four girls.  She has been a member of the "viking" staff for the past 11 years.
Mrs. Ruffin has done an outstanding job with her Biology classes and is part of the Science Department at White Oak High School that had a 96% proficiency rate in Biology in the first semester.  Congratulations to Mrs. Ruffin.  The Science Department Chairperson, Tanya Larose (Left Below), presented Mrs. Ruffin (Right Below) with her certificate in front of her first period class on Wednesday.
