SPiN Gets More Awards

The South Carolina Scholastic Press Association has announced the Fall Excellence in Scholastic Newspaper Awards. South Pointe in the News (SPiN) won the best Feature Story in the state for its story on teacher Laura Limerick by Allison Morris and Michelle Pesa.
SPiN also earned second place in the state ESNA contest for its Homecoming Centerspread by Ana-Cathryn Bigham.
Sports editor Taylor Snyder earned a third in the state for Best Photo for a Stallion Football touchdown (ninth grade football).
Taylor also earned third place ESNA for BEST Computer Graphic for her wrestling photo graphic.
Ana-Cathryn earned third place in the state for Best Review for her piece on the Lil Wayne concert in Charlotte.
