Applied Technology Students Make Sign For Rock Hill Schools

Above is a picture of the new District Three sign with three of its creators, students at the Applied Technology Center...Chad Lear (welding/fabrication), Daniel Alewine (prep and paint from auto body), and Andrew Taylor (designer from drafting & Design). Several others were also involved, but these three were chomping at the bit to see their creation displayed. This is evidence of the quality of work students can do when they have knowledge, skill, and opportunity. Their teachers are Tammy Harrelson (Drafting & Design), Derrick Crenshaw (Welding), and Mark Dellinger (Auto Body).

The next project will be a fully functional vehicle. Wait until you see this. Come by the school if you want a preview, or if you want to see more evidence of what our students know and can do. Remember, it's not what you know, nor what you can do that will bring you success in this work environment...it's what you know AND can do.

I saw this over the weekend, and I'm blown away. It is fabulous. Knowing that our students had a lot to do with it is even better. Kudos to all involved.
