New Teachers of the Year

Rock Hill High's Concert Choir received a Superior rating at the state competition (they were left off last weeks list of accomplishments).


Upcoming Performances
<Rawlinson Road's Musical Theatre Classes will present Alice in Wonderland, Jr. at 7:00 p.m. May 1 (7th grade cast) and on May 2 (8th grade cast) in the auditorium. Directed by Elise Archie, Brooke Rice and Naomi Thomas-Mills, the performance will also feature faculty members. Tickets will be $5/adults and $3/students.

<Northwestern's Visual Art Dept. will unveil the Amphora Gallery at a public reception from 6:00-8:00 p.m. May 3 in the auditorium lobby and at a school opening from 9:00-3:00 on May 5. The Amphora Gallery will display a show titled Director's Cut to showcase artwork by Advanced Placement students.

<The Choral Dept. at Rock Hill High, led by Mary Ann Helton, will present "An Evening of Song" at 8:00 p.m. May 8 and 9 in the auditorium. The Concert Choir, which won first place in the Smoky Mountain Choral Festival in Gatlinburg, will be featured along with Bella Voce, an auditioned female group. Tickets will be $5. The Northwestern Troubadours will hold their spring concert on May 1 and 2 in the auditorium.  Time is 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $7.  The South Pointe Choral Dept. will have their spring concert on May 2 at 7:30 p.m.

<Northwestern High bands, directed by Larry Wells and Mark Yost, will present a Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. May 13 in the auditorium. A special feature will be a tribute to the men and women in the military. Veterans and active service personnel will attend as special guests. Admission will be $4 for adults and $2 for students.
